What to Expect - Probate/Estate Administration
We offer a free initial appointment at our offices to discuss your options in relation to dealing with a deceased person’s Estate. We understand how you are likely to be feeling at this difficult time. We care about you and your family and fully appreciate that you may well be upset and emotional.
If the person died leaving a Will, then you should be named as an Executor in the Will and you should bring the original Will or a copy with you.
If the person died without leaving a Will, then you should be a close relative.
When attending at our offices, you will need to bring with you the deceased person's Death Certificate together with all paperwork you have located amongst their possessions concerning their assets and liabilities. Please do not worry if you will be bringing a large quantity of paperwork – we are used to this. It is better to bring too much documentation as opposed to not enough. If you subsequently decide you would like us to deal with matters for you using our full service, we will take all the paperwork and sort through what is relevant and deal with it.
Orchid Law aims to reduce stress and worry for clients where possible during their transaction and we are often available outside usual office hours for your convenience.
If you would like to meet with us to discuss a deceased person’s Estate, please let us know by submitting the Enquiry Form from the “Contact Us” page of our website or telephone us on 01233 822250.
