Welcome to Orchid Law

Orchid Law is a small, friendly firm that puts customer service and efficiency high on its list of priorities. The services provided are residential property sales, purchases and other conveyancing matters, Wills, probate and estate administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney for customers throughout Kent and South East England. Founded in 2010, the business is based in Bethersden, Ashford.

The office is located in beautiful countryside with parking available and is easily accessible from the M20 and A28 between Ashford and Tenterden.

All transactions are handled by Michelle Post, a fully qualified solicitor with over 30 years’ experience within the legal profession. A common concern for persons using legal services is that they experience difficulties in contacting the actual person handling their work. Orchid Law prides itself on ensuring this does not happen.  Michelle responds to telephone messages and emails the same day. The service is designed to be friendly and approachable, helping clients to minimise stress wherever possible.

As a small firm, Orchid Law is able to be more flexible than traditional firms as regards availability for meetings.  Meetings can be organised at our office in the evening or on Saturday mornings by arrangement or alternatively at clients’ homes or other venues of choice.  Please discuss your particular requirements with us and we will work together to find a suitable solution for your needs.  If you would like to use our premium service where we visit you, this will involve additional charges to cover travelling.

Orchid Law does not pay or receive referral fees.  If you receive a recommendation from an Estate Agent or elsewhere in relation to this firm, this will be because these persons have dealt with us in the past and consider we are worthy of a recommendation not because we have paid them to say this.

For full details of our fee scales and further detailed information concerning pricing see our conveyancing pricing information and Estate Administration Price Information.

Please note cyber fraud is a serious area of concern, particularly for firms of solicitors.  We work hard to minimise risk wherever possible.  We carry out enhanced biometric identity checks on new clients and on existing clients where the identification documentation we hold is out of date.  We do not send bank details by email.
